Quality Policy
  • To manage and continuously improve processes in line with strategies, taking into account stakeholder expectations and needs, in order to ensure the sustainable performance of our university.
  • Developing a quality culture that focuses on continuous learning, improvement and innovation.
  • To determine the standards specific to our University in line with our Mission and purposes, with the new EFQM approach, based on the standards of the Higher Education Quality Council.
  • To establish and implement an internal quality assurance system that will ensure the closure of the PDCA cycles, which are defined in a way to include our institutional standards for all quality assurance, education-training, research, community service, internationalization and governance activities at our university.
  • Beyond the organization defined within the framework of national legislation, it is to establish an integrated quality assurance organizational structure that includes all fields of activity of our University, including internal/external evaluation and accreditation processes.
Education Policy
  • As a university focused on technical fields, to conduct educational and research activities interactively.
  • To ensure that all of our associate, undergraduate and graduate programs comply with national and/or international accreditation criteria within the scope of our internal quality assurance system.
  • To create and maintain a student- and graduate-oriented education ecosystem by developing our competencies in student-centered and competency-based learning, teaching and assessment-evaluation.
  • To support face-to-face training with distance education methods and information technologies.
  • To balance the undergraduate/graduate student ratio by increasing the number of graduate programs and students.
Research Policy
  • As a research-oriented university, to conduct educational and research activities interactively in all processes.
  • To consider the research competencies of the academic staff as a priority in the appointments-promotions and performance evaluation processes.
  • Develop and implement an interactive, output and impact-oriented research management ecosystem that includes all components of the research process.
  • To conduct research with a focus on business and international cooperation and to produce value-creating research outputs.
  • To conduct the research by focusing on the pre-determined priority areas and sustainability.
  • To ensure that the research culture is adopted by academic staff and becomes a lifestyle.
Community Service Policy
  • To manage the knowledge and research capability of the university in a way that supports entrepreneurship and social development.
  • To use the facilities and competencies of the university for the promotion and popularisation of science in the society, and raising awareness.
Governance Policy
  • To adopt a management style that develops a culture of co-management, values performance and adheres to agile governance principles.
  • To manage the possible risks brought by the rapidly changing and unstable environment with our capacity and agility.
  • To develop a well based corporate organisation focused on horizontal structuring and open to development, where the structures required by institutionalization and all duties, powers and responsibilities are clearly defined, and to encourage flexibility and innovation.
  • Adopting a transparent, accountable and participatory management approach within the framework of universal ethical values; To inform the public about all the activities of the university in a clear, accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible manner.

Internationalisation Policy
  • To create an organisational structure for the operation of educational, research and community service activities within the framework of international cooperation and to implement incentive mechanisms.
  • To increase double degree and joint degree programs within the scope of the harmony of the education plan with international approaches.
  • To encourage participation in international networks and organisations to expand the network of international cooperation.
Gender Equality (KEFE) Policy

Our university,

  • Works to raise awareness on Gender Equality, conducts planned activities to ensure that this culture is adopted by all stakeholders, and shares its work with the society.
  • Undertakes to carry out its efforts to improve Gender Equality with the leadership of its senior management.
  • Undertakes that, with Gender Equality, the principle of inclusiveness is a guide for our basic activities that we define as education-training, research-development, service to the society, and for all our administrative processes.
  • Promises to provide an inclusive, respectful and developing working environment to all its employees, both men and women.
  • Promises to provide an inclusive and gender-equality-based education and research environment to all its students.
  • Does not discriminate between male and female employees in human resources processes, and adopts the principles of equal pay for equal work and transparency. It promises to support all its employees within the scope of their career development.
  • Supports women to overcome the glass ceiling syndrome and supports women's leadership in management.
  • Encourages the applications of all our stakeholders in areas where women are not sufficiently represented. For this purpose, it provides consultancy/mentoring support.
  • Supports employees and students in establishing a work-life balance and fulfilling their parenting duties.
  • Does not tolerate any form of violence, sexual harassment, assault or bullying. It undertakes to investigate and intervene in any physical, emotional, verbal or nonverbal, reported or reported attitude and behavior towards any of its stakeholders when needed. It creates notification/feedback mechanisms and ensures that these mechanisms are known by all stakeholders. It undertakes and protects that the notification owner will not be subject to any discrimination.
  • Uses a language that will strengthen equality and inclusiveness in all communication activities and in all communication tools, and makes an effort to ensure that this language is adopted by all stakeholders. For this purpose, it provides basic awareness to all its stakeholders by implementing training and development programs.
  • Works with non-governmental organizations, universities, public and private sectors for the development of Gender Equality in the society.
